Bermuda imports most of what we eat. We cannot change our geography, but we can change our resilience.
That is why the Cost of Living Commission and the Ministry of Home Affairs partnered with the Ministry of Health to help Bermudians become more food secure. In Devonshire, we launched our pilot with our first cohort and built a community garden, neighbours growing food together, contributing to food security and ultimately lowering cost.
Affordability is not only about prices on a shelf. It is about what we can do for ourselves and for each other. This garden is a start, and it is growing.

What a fantastic day at the Government Career Fair!
The Consumer Affairs team was proud to participate alongside our fellow public officers, connecting with students, job seekers, and members of the community to share insights into the important work we do every day.
From consumer protection and rent control to vacation rental licensing, debt collection registry oversight, and community outreach, visitors had the opportunity to learn about the many ways Consumer Affairs serves and supports Bermuda.
A special thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, asked questions, participated in our activities, and explored the diverse career opportunities available within the Public Service.

We know finding a rental property can be challenging in today’s market, but scammers are making it even harder.
Fraudsters are posing as realtors and property owners, using fake listings and stolen photos to trick people into sharing personal information or sending money.
Before providing any personal details, take the time to verify who you’re dealing with. Never send money, deposits, banking information, or copies of identification documents to someone you do not know or have not independently verified.
If a rental opportunity seems too good to be true, it probably is.
