Constable MacNab has successfully completed the NPCC Police Dog Instructors Course (Narcotics, Cash and Fi****ms Detection) at the West Midlands Police Dog Training Centre in the United Kingdom.
This specialist instructor course provided advanced training in the development, deployment and management of police detection dogs, focusing on instructor level competencies such as canine behaviour, scent detection principles, training methodologies, operational standards and assessment procedures.
Having successfully completed the programme, Constable MacNab is now qualified to train, assess and develop police detection dog teams to nationally recognised standards, further enhancing the operational capabilities of the Bermuda Police Service.
This achievement is especially significant as Constable MacNab becomes the first female Police Dog Instructor within the Bermuda Police Service. Her dedication, professionalism and commitment to excellence continue to break barriers and set an inspiring example for others.

The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Sen. the Hon. Kim Wilkerson, JP, recently reported on Bermuda’s participation in the 62nd CFATF Plenary and Working Group Meetings.
The meetings brought together regional and international partners to strengthen cooperation on anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and financial crime, while addressing emerging global threats.
Bermuda’s continued engagement supports the Island’s strong reputation as a trusted international financial centre and ensures it remains prepared, responsive and aligned with evolving global standards.
As preparations begin for the next round of mutual evaluations, collaboration across government, regulators, law enforcement and the private sector will remain essential to safeguarding Bermuda’s financial system.
