The second Brunei Darussalam Islamic Finance (BDIF) Symposium 2025 marked another milestone in strengthening Brunei’s Islamic finance landscape. Organised by BDCB, with .unissa as CFP organiser and hosted by , the symposium served as a platform to advance dialogue, collaboration, and research among key stakeholders.
Centred on the theme “Navigating Digital Frontiers in Islamic Finance,” the event addressed emerging trends and challenges at the intersection of digitalisation and Islamic finance, while also witnessing the official launch of the new BDIF website — a central hub to promote greater understanding, collaboration, and development within Brunei Darussalam’s Islamic finance ecosystem.

BDCB has been made aware of a fraudulent document misusing its name and logo, and the names of senior officials. The public is advised to remain vigilant and beware of fraudulent entities that misuse BDCB’s name or identity for deceptive purposes.
BDCB emphasises that using its name, logo, or similar designs without permission, with intent to deceive or cause confusion, is an offence under Section 74A of the BDCB Order, 2010. Any persons who is found committing such offence is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding BND20,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven years, or both.

We recently held a financial literacy roadshow at SARIPAD, welcoming about 270 enthusiastic students and teachers eager to improve their money management skills. From budgeting basics to practical tips for smarter spending, the session offered valuable learning for everyone.

We had the honour of hosting the 8th Southeast Asia Cryptocurrencies Working Group Meeting together with United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Regional Office for Southeast Asia and the Pacificearlier this week.
Our Managing Director, Yang Mulia Hajah Rashidah binti Haji Sabtu, officiated the opening as the guest of honour, joined by UNODC Regional Representative Ms. Delphine Schantz and senior government officials.
Held from 17–19 November, the three-day forum brought together ASEAN authorities and international experts to strengthen collaboration and explore ways to create a safer, more robust environment for cryptocurrency regulation and enforcement.
