The Honorary Consulate of Republic of Poland in Bandar Seri Begawan

A truly special evening in my home here in Bandar Seri Begawan! 🎶🇧🇳🇵🇱

It was such a pleasure to host , Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, for an evening dedicated to our culture and community.

We enjoyed a breathtaking recital of Chopin and Wieniawski, beautifully performed by Shannen Tse and Marieta Eugenia B. Del Mar. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring the Polish community together in a warm, personal setting to celebrate our shared heritage.

Moments like these remind me how music and friendship bridge the distance between our two homes.

I felt truly honoured to attend the Chinese New Year Celebration hosted by the Embassy of China in Bandar Seri Begawan. An evening filled with warmth, tradition, beautiful performances and a spirit of hope for prosperity and harmony in the year ahead. 🐉🐲🏮🧨🧧🇨🇳🎎🏯㊙️ 🐴🧧🪭 ❤️🙏💯

I had an honour of attending the Inauguration of the Bulwagang Jose Rizal and Sentra Rizal Cultural Hall at the Phillipines Embassy on 16th February 2026. The event was truly inspiring, featuring a stunning display of famous, hand-woven bags. It is wonderful to see how culture, art and education can build bridges between communities and countries.

Z ogromnym bólem i smutkiem zawiadamiamy, że odeszła Joanna Kołaczkowska...Nasza Asia.

Przyszło Jej zmierzyć się z najgorszym i najbardziej agresywnym przeciwnikiem. Walczyła dzielnie, z godnością, z nadzieją. My razem z Nią. Wyczerpaliśmy niestety wszystkie dostępne formy leczenia. Wierzyliśmy w cud. Cud nie nastąpił.

Asia odeszła spokojnie, bez bólu. W otoczeniu najbliższych i przyjaciół – wśród tych, których kochała i którzy kochali Ją bezgranicznie.

Zostawiła po sobie ogromną wyrwę, której niczym nie da się zapełnić. W nas – ludziach, którzy byli z Nią blisko, którzy dzielili z Nią scenę i życie. I w świecie sztuki, który był Jej przestrzenią, Jej domem, Jej oddechem., a Ona była jego najpiękniejszym uosobieniem.

Jej talentu nie da się porównać – był zjawiskiem. Jej obecność – darem. Jej odejście – stratą nie do ogarnięcia.

Dziękujemy Ci, Asiu.
Za śmiech, za wzruszenie, za piękno i dobro, które nosiłaś w sobie i dawałaś światu. Za dobro.
Zostajesz z nami – w każdym wspomnieniu, w każdym wersie, w każdej ciszy, która dziś boli bardziej niż kiedykolwiek.

Wierzymy, że gdziekolwiek teraz jesteś – roześmiana, jasna, wolna – niesiesz innym swój śmiech, tak jak nam niosłaś nadzieję i radość, nawet w najciemniejsze dni.
