The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam today joins the nation in marking the 65th Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

Established on 31 May 1961, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces continues to serve in the defense, security, and public life of the country.

The Embassy congratulates the Royal Brunei Armed Forces on this milestone anniversary.

As part of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces 65th Anniversary Celebration, the Philippine Air Force is joining the Air Capability Static Display at the Royal Brunei Air Force Base in Rimba, featuring one C-130 aircraft and two FA-50PH aircraft from the Philippines.

The public may visit the static display and view participating aircraft from Brunei Darussalam and partner countries during the following schedule:

The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam today welcomed the Philippine Air Force contingent participating in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 65th Anniversary Celebration.

Ambassador Marian Jocelyn R. Tirol-Ignacio received the contingent during a courtesy call at the Embassy, joined by Defense and Armed Forces Attaché Col. Garry L. Atienza, MSG Arre V. Estero, Political Attaché Alec Chrisanti A. Arenas, and Public Diplomacy Officer Philip Adrian G. Fernandez.

The courtesy call highlighted the Philippines’ continuing commitment to defense diplomacy and professional military exchanges with Brunei Darussalam, in line with the RBAF anniversary celebration’s role as a gathering of friendly forces and partner militaries.

The Embassy welcomes the Philippine Air Force contingent and supports its participation in the anniversary celebration.

Only the 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 may collect the new passport. The minor applicant is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 during passport claiming.

If the parent or legal guardian cannot personally collect the minor’s passport, he or she must issue a 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 to the authorized representative, except when the representative is his or her spouse.

LOOK: A contingent of 50 Philippine Air Force officers and enlisted personnel arrived yesterday at the Royal Brunei Air Force Base in Rimba to take part in activities marking the 65th Anniversary Celebration of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

The Philippine delegation arrived onboard one C-130 aircraft and two FA-50PH aircraft. They were welcomed and assisted upon arrival by the Office of the Defense and Armed Forces Attaché (ODAFA), led by Col. Garry L. Atienza, with support from MSG Arre V. Estero.

Their participation reflects the longstanding defense ties and professional exchanges between the Philippines and Brunei Darussalam.

Philippine Air Force

On 23 May, The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam joined Brunei’s Giant Freshwater Prawn Restocking Program in Sungai Labu, Temburong.

Representing the Embassy, Third Secretary and Economic Officer Jacqueline L. Ong attended the activity, where Brunei’s Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism led the release of 200,000 giant freshwater prawn larvae, locally known as udang galah, to help replenish local waters.

The program highlights how aquatic resource management can support food production, strengthen local fisheries, and open livelihood opportunities for agro-entrepreneurs and communities.

The Embassy supports initiatives that promote sustainable fisheries, food security, and stronger Philippines-Brunei economic linkages.
