As quantum computing advances, current encryption methods such as RSA, ECC, and Diffie-Hellman may become vulnerable in the future. With growing concern over “harvest now, decrypt later” threats, sensitive data encrypted today could potentially be collected and decrypted once quantum capabilities become available.

In response, Cyber Security Brunei has developed the Brunei Post-Quantum Cryptography Migration Framework, a national roadmap to support the transition of Government, Critical Information Infrastructure, and the wider economy towards quantum-resistant cryptography.

As part of , this full-day consultation will bring together representatives from CII, ministries, and academia to review the draft framework with Cyber Security Brunei.
