Delighted to welcome students from Serangoon Secondary School and Holy Innocents’ High School to the Singapore High Commission earlier this week on Monday, 25 May! ✈️📖
The students toured the chancery and got a glimpse into our work at the High Commission. This was followed by an interactive session with High Commissioner Yip Wei Kiat, who shared about the role of the High Commission and how Singapore strengthens ties with Brunei.
Always great to engage with young minds. We hope the visit gave them a meaningful insight into diplomacy and life beyond the classroom!

High Commissioner Yip Wei Kiat deeply appreciated the invitation from the Singapore Association to be the GOH at its Singapore Association Dinner 2026 last Saturday, 23 May, where the Retro Night theme brought plenty of nostalgic fun and throwback energy! 🎶📼
Beyond the retro flair, the evening also highlighted the spirit of giving, as the Singapore Association and HC presented a cheque to Majlis Kesejahteraan Masyarakat (MKM) in support of the year-long School Breakfast Scheme for needy students of Sekolah Rendah Rataie in Temburong.
We thank the Singapore Association for its efforts in bringing communities together and strengthening the warm friendship among Singaporeans and Bruneians.

Caught up with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen over tea today.
Singapore and Brunei share a special and enduring friendship. It is built on deep mutual trust, and that is why I always value the opportunity to speak openly and candidly with His Majesty on regional and global developments, as well as ways to strengthen the close ties between our countries.

Pleased to meet Speaker of the Legislative Council of Brunei Pehin Abdul Rahman Taib today, along with other members of Brunei’s Legislative Council.
We affirmed the special relationship between Singapore and Brunei, and our conversation reflected the close understanding and shared perspectives our countries have on many strategic issues.
Beyond government ties, the strong people-to-people links between our two countries remain just as important. I look forward to strengthening these connections further, and to many more warm exchanges with our Bruneian friends.
