Your Spending Matters: Participate in the 2024-2025 Household Expenditure Survey!

The Bahamas National Statistical Institute is conducting the Household Expenditure Survey now through May 2025.

This important survey collects data on household spending—like food, healthcare, transportation, and more—to help update the cost-of-living index and provide critical insights for shaping national policies, including poverty measurements.

3 important facts you need to know about the Post Enumeration Survey

1. Now through March 7, Census workers will visit selected dwellings to conduct the Post Enumeration Survey (PES)

2. This exercise will be done face-to-face in New Providence only

3. Each survey takes just 20 to 30 minutes. If selected, please participate and answer the survey questions accurately.

The National Accounts Section of the Bahamas National Statistical Institute (formerly the Department of Statistics) announces the release of the 2021 advance estimates of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by Major Family Islands and Island groups. This report represents the efforts by the Bahamas National Statistical Institute (BNSI) to continue to enhance the provision of economic statistics to assist in both private and public sector decision making.

ADVANCE ESTIMATES FOR QUARTERLY GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT: 2021

The National Accounts Section of the Bahamas National Statistical Institute (formerly the Department of Statistics) is pleased to release its series of Quarterly Gross Domestic Product (QGDP), compiled by both the Production and Expenditure Approaches. The QGDP series include both the nominal (current) and real (constant) prices for the period 1st Quarter 2015 to 4th Quarter 2021.
