Happy Father's Day South Beach

This week, I had the privilege of visiting the children’s homes in Grand Bahama.

Every visit like this reminds me why the work we do matters so deeply. Behind every door are children who deserve love, protection, opportunity, and the reassurance that they are not forgotten.

I was grateful to meet with the dedicated administrators, caregivers, and staff who give so much of themselves each day to provide safe and nurturing environments for our children. Their commitment is not just a job; it is service from the heart.

As Minister, I remain committed to listening, supporting, and working to strengthen the systems that care for our most vulnerable. But beyond the title, as a Bahamian, I believe we all have a responsibility to help build a country where every child feels seen, valued, and supported.

To the teams in Grand Bahama, thank you for the work you continue to do. Our children are our future, and together, we must continue to protect, uplift, and invest in them.

Today, we walked into Parliament with purpose, unity, and a clear mission: delivering a budget focused on the people of The Bahamas.

The work does not stop after an election. The real work continues in the halls of Parliament, fighting for stronger communities, greater opportunities, safer neighborhoods, and continued progress for families across South Beach and our nation.

Proud to stand alongside my colleagues as we move The Bahamas forward together. Focused. United. Ready to work.

Today, I was deeply moved to receive my Instruments of Appointment to serve as Minister of State within the Ministry of Social Services.

This Ministry sits at the very heart of our people and presents an opportunity to make a meaningful and immediate impact in the lives of many.

I am truly grateful to the Prime Minister and the great people of South Beach for affording me this opportunity to serve. With God’s help, I will do my very best to uplift humanity and serve with compassion, humility, and purpose.

In every season, there will be noise, distractions, opinions, and neg*tivity — but through it all, I remained grounded in my faith, my values, and my commitment to the people of South Beach.

Today, I thank God for strength, guidance, and favor throughout this journey. I thank my beautiful wife and sons for their love and sacrifices, my campaign leaders, managers, workers, volunteers, and staff who gave their all every single day, and our media team who helped us run a clean, positive, and focused campaign.

Most importantly, thank you to the people of South Beach for believing in progress once again.

This victory is bigger than one man. It is about community, consistency, and continuing the work. History was also made nationally, as Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis became the first Bahamian leader in nearly 30 years to win a second consecutive term.

We blocked out the noise, stayed true to who we are, and let the work speak for itself.

Now, the work continues. South Beach, thank you for choosing progress once again.
