As the nation debated the 2026/2027 Budget, the Ministry of Agriculture & Marine Resources brought the vision of a food-secure Bahamas directly to the people through its Food Security Starts Here | Rawson Square Showcase.
Led by Hon. Jomo Campbell, M.P. - Centreville, Minister of Agriculture & Marine Resources, and Hon. Leonardo D. Lightbourne - MP for North Andros, Minister of State, the showcase highlighted the investments, initiatives, and achievements driving growth across agriculture, fisheries, food production, and marine resource management throughout The Bahamas. Accompanied by First Lady Ann Marie Davis
From strengthening local food production and supporting Bahamian farmers and fishermen to advancing sustainable practices and reducing food imports, the event demonstrated the Ministry's continued commitment to building a stronger, more resilient nation.
Together, we are producing more, importing less, and feeding The Bahamas.

Today, we resumed constituency 1-on-1 meetings with residents across Centreville, listening firsthand to the issues, concerns, and priorities affecting our communities.
These conversations are an important part of ensuring that the voices of our people remain at the center of every decision we make.

In just 30 days since re-election, we’re already delivering on our vision for a stronger Centreville.🇧🇸
The opening of the Centreville Community Farm represents a major step forward under our 10-Point Plan, specifically our commitment to “Expand Community Events & Local Markets” by creating opportunities for residents to learn, grow, produce, and participate in community agriculture.
This farm is more than a garden; it’s a symbol of what can be achieved when we work together to strengthen food security, empower residents, beautify our community, and create new opportunities for future generations.
One month in, and the progress continues.
Promises made. Promises delivered. Let’s continue sticking together, Centreville. 💙💛
