BAIC making improvements despite Covid-19 Pandemic!

Officials of the Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation and the Small Business Development Centre signed an historic and landmark memorandum of understanding at BAIC headquarters on July 3, 2019. The agreement paved the way for business plans for SBDC clients to be researched and produced exclusively by BAIC staff with specifications by SBDC. Executive Director of SBDC Davinia Grant met with BAIC'S General Manager Mr. Rocky Nesbitt and Mr. Lester Stuart, Assistant General Manager, Entrepreneurial Planning and Development Department at BAIC on Friday, January 22, 2021. In addition to assistance with business plans, BAIC also provides support and advisory services on agricultural and handicraft-related projects, the lease of industrial land and parks, assistance with market access both domestically and internationally and leverage regional and international relationships to the benefit of small and medium-sized enterprises and clients of the Small Business Development Centre.

COLLABORATIVE AGREEMENT TO ESTABLISH THE ASSOCIATION OF BAHAMIAN DEVELOPMENT FINANCE (ABDFI).

This was a kickoff meeting to discuss the formation of the unincorporated Association of Bahamian Development Finance Institution (ABDFI). The meeting was convened on January 7 at the Bahamas Development Bank to discuss the purpose and objectives of the association.

The association partners include: The Bahamas Development Bank (BDB), The Bahamas Entrepreneurial Venture Fund Ltd (BEVFL), The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and The Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC).
