⚠️ HEAT HEALTH ALERT ⚠️
The Bahamas Department of Meteorology has advised that the Northern and Northwest Bahamas are expected to experience an Excessive Heat Wave beginning today and potentially lasting through the weekend.
Residents are encouraged to take precautions to protect themselves and their families from heat-related illnesses. Stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, wear light clothing, and check on vulnerable individuals, including children, older adults, and those with chronic medical conditions.
