The last time we spoke with the L.W. Young Junior Council, they shared their ambitious plans for the school year. However, nothing is quite as heartwarming as the donation they facilitated today for the Bilney Lane Children’s Home. As Vice Principal Agatha Francis emphasizes, although this is their first year, it is just one of many initiatives the Junior Council aims to undertake!

Today, the L.W. Young Local Government Junior Council proudly presented a variety of gifts to the Bilney Lane Children’s Home, generously donated by their staff. The contributions included essential items such as baby seats, clothing, and food, all of which are greatly needed by the home.

The Local Government Junior Council team at St. Andrew’s Anglican School is hard at work enhancing the school’s entrance, transforming it into a welcoming space for all. Their dedication to beautification reflects their commitment to creating an inviting atmosphere within the school community. Through their collaborative efforts, they have demonstrated that by working together, they can achieve anything.

This past Saturday, the Local Government Junior Councillors from North Long Island High School brought joy and creativity to the Little Cottage Library through a vibrant community engagement event. The councillors delighted children by reading enchanting Easter stories, guiding them in crafting whimsical Easter-themed creations, and orchestrating an exhilarating Easter egg hunt filled with delightful treats. This lively gathering not only fostered connection but also left lasting smiles on the faces of both the councillors and the eager young participants they served.

The North Long Island High Local Government Junior Council has teamed up with the school's Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to enhance this year's Honor Roll Assembly. Their collaboration has resulted in the successful purchase of special pins and certificates to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the school’s remarkable students. The Junior Council of Windermere has embarked on a commendable initiative called "The Corner Beautification and Cleanup."
