HAPPY 10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY TO MY LOVE!
What an incredible life we’ve created together. From those date nights and early gym mornings when we were just dating, I never could have imagined where we’d be after ten years of marriage. You’ve been my rock and my greatest supporter. Thank you for standing beside me, reminding me that you’re always there when I need you. Thank you for standing in front of me, giving me the confidence of feeling protected. And thank you for standing behind me, steadying me and helping me carry the burdens life throws my way.
I love you, and I pray that the beautiful smile you have in this photo stays with you through all the years of marriage still ahead of us.
LOVE YOU! 😍

ENERGY UPDATE: GRID MODERNIZATION 95% COMPLETED!
Today, I invited the media to tour the new BPL/BGC Big Pond Substation to highlight the ongoing work and upgrades taking place within the Transmission and Distribution segment of our Energy Sector. This visit also provided an opportunity to offer greater transparency and address the outage inconveniences many of our customers have experienced over the past two weeks. While these upgrades are essential to strengthening and improving the reliability of our system, they do not eliminate our utility company’s responsibility to supply affordable, dependable, and sustainable power. And when we fall short, we must communicate honestly and transparently.

ENERGY UPDATE:
Government and BPL Continue Major Upgrades to Strengthen Power Reliability:
“BPL advised that the recent outages are not the result of a shortage of generation capacity. The systemcurrently has sufficient power available to meet demand. However, ongoing transmission and distribution upgrades have required portions of the grid to operate in an unusual configuration while
critical infrastructure improvements are completed.
Some parts of the grid are currently being supplied by fewer circuits than usual, and during times of high
demand and extreme heat, that reduced capacity puts extra strain on the system. It’s much like plugging too many appliances into a single circuit at home. The electricity is there, but the path delivering it is pushed beyond its normal limits. Just as an overloaded household circuit causes a breaker to shut off; or as we often say in The Bahamas, the breaker “trips”- the same type of issue is happening on the grid.”

🎉✨💙THANK YOU ELIZABETH! 💙✨🎉
Elizabeth, just one month ago, we celebrated a historic victory together and secured a second term. Elizabeth, better has come!
Yesterday was all about you, Elizabeth. It was my way of saying thank you to everyone who believed in me, believed in our community, and believed that you deserved true representation.
We wanted to do something a little different, so we hosted our very first Father’s Day Grill Competition, led by Judge Chef Emanuel and supported by an outstanding team that ensured everything was organized, professional, and enjoyable. Thank you to Adam Darville and BACSWN for agreeing to be a judge and also adding to the winning prize! Congratulations to everyone who participated, our top 3 winners, and special congratulations to - DANNY SCOTT, the winner of our first ever Father’s Day Grill Competition!
As the evening continued, the celebration came alive with incredible performances from DJ Fawteen, DJ Pencil, Julien Believe, The Way Forward Valley Boys, and Da Pond Band, who truly brought down the house. Their talent and the vibrant Bahamian spirit running through their veins made the night one to remember.
My Elizabeth babies also showed up and showed out from being selected as raffle callers, to showing off their best dance moves, and making sure they received the first slice of the Elizabeth Victory Cake.
Last night was unforgettable because of you, my constituents. Let us continue this journey together, continue this progress together, and continue building the very best community in our country.
Thank you, Team Elizabeth 💙
With love,
JoBeth

Today marks another milestone in expanding The Bahamas’ global connectivity. ✈️🇧🇸
Minister JoBeth Coleby-Davis, alongside Minister Glenys Hanna-Martin and representatives from both the Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Avaition and the Ministry of Tourism and other key industry partners, welcomed 120 passengers aboard the inaugural Breeze Airways direct flight from Tampa to Nassau, marking a significant step in strengthening connectivity between The Bahamas and Florida’s Gulf Coast.
With twice-weekly service now underway and expanding to four weekly flights in July this new route enhances travel options for residents and visitors alike while supporting tourism growth, fostering stronger business connections, and contributing to the continued economic development of The Bahamas.
The launch of this service reflects the ongoing commitment of both public and private sector partners to improving air access, strengthening regional ties, and creating new opportunities for trade, investment, and tourism between The Bahamas and Florida.🇧🇸✈️
