With the commencement of the current breeding season, the implementation of Artificial Insemination (AI) using Mongolian horse semen as a pilot trial at the farm was conducted today, after the small inaugural ceremony. This initiative marks a significant milestone, being the first of its kind not only at this Centre but also within the Department and the country.

Given that the frozen semen has a viable lifespan of approximately 6 to 12 hours post-thaw, a second Artificial Insemination will be carried out 12 hours after the initial insemination to optimize the chances of successful conception.

Farm staff are engaged in gathering the dried fodder from the field and loading it onto a tractor-drawn trailer. The team works collaboratively, using pitchforks and manual tools to ensure the hay is efficiently stacked and secured for transport.

Once transported to the storage facility, the hay is unloaded and arranged neatly in the stable barn loft. Staff members spread and level the hay to facilitate proper aeration and long-term preservation. The process reflects an organized approach to fodder management, ensuring adequate feed reserves for equines during periods of limited grazing. Thanks to fodder team.
