Her unwavering commitment, professionalism, and invaluable contribution towards educating and nurturing young minds have immensely benefitted the school, the community, and the nation at large. Throughout her distinguished career, Madam Anita Pradhan demonstrated exemplary dedication, patience, and integrity, leaving behind a lasting legacy and inspiring generations of students and colleagues alike.

As she embarks on a new chapter of life, the Dzongkhag Administration conveys its deepest respect and appreciation for her selfless service and wishes her continued good health, happiness, and a fulfilling retirement ahead.

Malaria and Dengue Prevention Campaign Conducted in Samtse Town

Today, the Vector-borne Disease Control Programme (VDCP), Gelephu, in collaboration with Samtse Dzongkhag, successfully conducted a Malaria and Dengue Prevention Campaign in Samtse Town.

More than 60 dedicated volunteers from the Royal Bhutan Police, DeSuung, and ARURA final-year students actively took part in the campaign. The initiative focused on creating awareness on malaria and dengue prevention while encouraging active community participation in maintaining a clean and safe environment.

The volunteers were divided into groups and carried out door-to-door awareness campaigns to educate residents on the importance of eliminating mosquito breeding sites in and around their homes. Collection of mosquito larvae and larviciding activities were also conducted in identified breeding areas.

Samtse Dzongkhag extends its heartfelt appreciation to the VDCP for spearheading this important initiative and to all the volunteers for their active participation, dedication, and commitment towards safeguarding public health and promoting a healthier community.

With Heartfelt Appreciation: Retirement of a Dedicated Educator
The Dzongkhag Administration extends its heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Mahendra Pradhan, Sr. Teacher I of Sangngagcholing Lower Secondary School, on his graceful superannuation with effect from 10th May 2026, after rendering more than 37 years of dedicated service in the teaching profession.

Throughout his distinguished career, he served with unwavering commitment, sincerity, and professionalism, playing a significant role in shaping young minds and contributing immensely to the advancement of education. His dedication, guidance, and invaluable contributions to the school community will always be remembered with deep respect and gratitude.

As he begins a new and well-deserved chapter of life, the Dzongkhag Administration conveys its sincere appreciation for his exemplary service and wishes him a joyful, healthy, and fulfilling retirement.

Samtse Dzongkhag Administration warmly welcomes the Chief Dzongkhag Agriculture Officer and the Chief Dzongkhag Livestock Officer back to their respective offices after successfully completing the De-suung Training Programme (DD 75th Batch) at Tencholing Military Training Centre (MTC).

The Dzongkhag Administration extends its heartfelt congratulations and appreciation for their successful completion of the programme. Their commitment, discipline, and dedication reflect the true spirit of national service.

We are confident that the knowledge, values, and leadership skills gained through the De-suung training will further enhance their professional contribution towards strengthening agriculture and livestock services in Samtse Dzongkhag.

We also acknowledge and appreciate the De-suung Headquarters and trainers at Tencholing MTC for their guidance and support throughout the programme.

Into the 13th week since the introduction of the weekly cleaning routine in Samtse Dzongkhag town area, the initiative continues to show positive progress, and visible changes can be seen in and around the town in terms of cleanliness and environmental awareness.

Today, on 8th May 2026, plantation of Casia fistula and Delonix regia saplings was carried out at Zero Point as part of the ongoing effort to make the town greener and more beautiful.

The same initiative has also been started in Tashicholing Drungkhag, reflecting a shared commitment towards maintaining clean and healthy surroundings across the Dzongkhag.
