Bhikshuni Sister Nguyen Thi Diem Xuan will join the sacred gathering for Project 108 in Gelephu Mindfulness City from 1–4 November.

A Vietnamese Buddhist nun, Sister Diem Xuan will join fellow practitioners and spiritual leaders as the 108 Jangchub Chortens are raised and consecrated.

Her presence adds the presence of the Bhikshuni Sangha to a gathering that brings together Buddhist practitioners from different traditions and communities in prayer and spiritual practice.

FOR 108: Venerable Lim Ei Boon

Venerable Lim Ei Boon will join the sacred gathering for Project 108 in Gelephu Mindfulness City from 1–4 November.

She will be part of the gathering as the 108 Jangchub Chortens are raised and consecrated, joining spiritual practitioners from different Buddhist traditions for days of prayer, reflection and spiritual practice.

Her presence adds another connection to the wider Buddhist community coming together in Gelephu Mindfulness City.

Venerable Lim Ei Boon will represent Venerable Hsin Bau of Taiwan at the Project 108 gathering, bringing the presence and support of the Taiwanese Buddhist community to this historic occasion.

A senior scholar and teacher of the Gelug tradition, Khenpo Jangchup Sangye will be among the spiritual leaders gathering for the raising and consecration of the 108 Jangchub Chortens.

Khenpo Jangchup Sangye is with Gaden Shartse Monastery, one of the principal monastic institutions of the Gelug tradition. As a Khenpo, he carries a role rooted in the study, teaching and preservation of Buddhist philosophy and practice.

His Eminence Sera Woezer Rinpoche will join the sacred gathering for Project 108 in Gelephu Mindfulness City.

A revered teacher of the Gelug tradition, Rinpoche will join us for the raising and consecration of the 108 Jangchub Chortens, as three days of prayer and spiritual practice unfold along the Mau Chhu.

Rinpoche is with Sera Monastery, one of the great monastic institutions of the Gelug tradition. His life and work are devoted to the study, practice and transmission of the Buddha Dharma.

FOR 108: HE Khondung Asanga Vajra Sakya Rinpoche

His Eminence Khondung Asanga Vajra Sakya Rinpoche will join the sacred gathering in Gelephu Mindfulness City.

A direct descendant of the Khön lineage and a teacher of the Sakya tradition, Rinpoche will be among the spiritual leaders gathering for the raising and consecration of the 108 Jangchub Chortens.

Asanga Rinpoche is the youngest grandson of His Holiness Jigdal Dagchen Sakya and has received extensive teachings and transmissions from eminent masters of the Sakya tradition. In 2024, he became Head Lama of Sakya Guru Monastery, the oldest Sakya monastery in India, and received the Kachupa and Loppon degrees after completing more than a decade of Buddhist studies. He is also the founder of the Chabi Foundation.

His Eminence Khondung Avikrita Vajra Sakya Rinpoche will join the sacred gathering in Gelephu Mindfulness City.

A member of the Khön lineage of the Sakya tradition, Rinpoche will be among the spiritual leaders gathering for the raising and consecration of the 108 Jangchub Chortens.

Earlier this year, Rinpoche also made an offering towards one Jangchub Chorten.

Born in Seattle in 1993, Rinpoche began his traditional Buddhist training in India at the age of six. He received teachings and transmissions from His Holiness Jigdal Dagchen Sakya, his grandfather, and His Holiness Sakya Trichen, his grand-uncle, among other eminent Sakya masters. He later completed extensive studies at Dzongsar Institute of Higher Buddhist Philosophy and Research.

FOR 108: HE the 27th Chogye Trichen Rinchen Paljor Rinpoche

His Eminence the 27th Chogye Trichen Rinchen Paljor Rinpoche will join the sacred gathering in Gelephu Mindfulness City.

A holder of the Tsharpa lineage of the Sakya tradition, RInpoche will be among the spiritual leaders gathering for the raising and consecration of the 108 Jangchub Chortens.

Born in Mustang, Nepal, in 1971, Rinpoche received his novice vows from the 25th Chogye Trichen Rinpoche at the age of eight. In 1992, he was enthroned as the Shabdrung and designated as successor to the Chogye Trichen lineage. He received extensive Buddhist education at Sakya Institute and Sakya College and was enthroned as the 27th Chogye Trichen Rinpoche in 2019.

His Eminence the 26th Chogye Trichen Ngawang Rinchen Rinpoche will join the sacred gathering in Gelephu Mindfulness City.

Rinpoche is a holder of the Tsarpa lineage, one of the principal sub-traditions of the Sakya school. He will be among the spiritual leaders gathering for the raising and consecration of the 108 Jangchub Chortens.

Born in 1981 into the Kushang family, the traditional family associated with the Chogye Trichen lineage, he was selected as the future Chogye Trichen and enthroned at Nalendra Monastery at the age of sixteen. He received teachings and transmissions from the 25th Chogye Trichen Rinpoche, His Holiness the Sakya Trichen and other eminent masters, and was enthroned as the 26th Chogye Trichen in 2019.
