Today, 30th December 2025, marks a proud moment as we hosted the Completion Certificate Awarding Ceremony for our 27th Batch of MBBS Interns.
After a year of tireless dedication, late-night shifts, and invaluable service to our patients, these doctors have completed their year-long internship program. Watching them evolve from graduates into confident practitioners has been an honor for our entire faculty and staff in the Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine (FoPGM), Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB).
To our 27th Batch: Thank you for your hard work and for the lives you've touched during your time here. We are looking forward to welcoming you to the university as postgraduate residents and subsequently as faculty members in the near future.

We are pleased to announce the successful enrollment and completion of the Orientation Program for the 29th batch of MBBS Graduates in the MBBS Internship Program, Faculty of Postgraduate Medicine (FoPGM), Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB).
After years of rigorous study in medical schools abroad, these 29 dedicated doctors have officially transitioned from students to interns. During the orientation, they were briefed on clinical protocols, patient care ethics, and the hospital’s rules and regulations as they prepared to serve on the frontline of healthcare. They were also trained in Druk Sokchop Basic Life Support (DS-BLS), Druk Sokchop Neonatal Basic Life Support (DS-NBLS), Druk Sokchop Neonatal Advanced Life Support (DS-NALS), and Druk Sokchop Advanced Cardiac Life Support (DS-ACLS) to equip them with the necessary skills to respond to in-hospital emergencies to save lives and ensure patient safety.
