The newly appointed Dasho Drangpon formally assumed office today through a traditional ceremony. The Dzongkhag Administration warmly welcomes Dasho Drangpon of Trongsa Dzongkhag Court. Following the completion of the cleaning campaign, all participants enthusiastically took part in games organized by the Dzongkhag Administration, making the occasion memorable while providing a refreshing and enjoyable break for the participants after their efforts.

𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐚 𝐃𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐠 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲

Trongsa Dzongkhag Administration joined the global community in observing World Water Day today, emphasizing the importance of water and sustainable water management.
The event witnessed active participation from officials of various regional offices stationed in Trongsa and students, highlighting a shared commitment to environmental conservation.
As part of the observance, participants also carried out a cleaning campaign along the Thruepang River up to Dzong end, reinforcing the importance of protecting water sources.�
The Gewog Administrations of Nubee, Korphu, Langthil, Dragteng and Tangsibji also joined the observance by carrying out cleaning campaigns in their respective areas, focusing on water sources, drainage systems, and water storage tanks, thereby contributing to improved sanitation and water conservation efforts.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 9𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐠 𝐓𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐠𝐝𝐮 (𝐃𝐓) 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧.

The 9th Session of the Dzongkhag Tshogdu of the Third Local Government was convened today (March 13, 2026). The Tshogdu endorsed the Dzongkhag and Gewogs’ plan and budget proposals for fiscal year 2026–27.

The meeting reviewed the implementation status of the resolutions of the 8th Dzongkhag Tshogdu Session; as well as the financial & physical progress of activities being implemented this current financial year by the Dzongkhag and Gewogs.

The meeting also discussed varying areas concerning the Dzongkhag, Gewog and its people and fostered the way forward to collective solution.

The Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Drakten _Langthil Constituency; Regional and Sector Heads of Trongsa also observed the session.

Mid-Term Review of the 13th Five-Year Plan (FYP)

His Excellency, the Home Minister, accompanied by officials from the Cabinet Secretariat, Ministry of Finance, Royal Civil Service Commission, visited Trongsa Dzongkhag to conduct the Mid-term Review of the 13th FYP The visiting team met with the LG officials comprised of Gups, Mangmis, Tshogpas, GAOs, Sector and Regional Heads of Trongsa Dzongkhag, During the review Dzongkhag and Gewog Gups presented the progress of the plan implementation followed by issues and challenges. His Excellency highlighted the strategic priorities of the 13th FYP while actively addressing the perspectives and concerns raised by local authorities.

In addition to the plan review, the officials from the Department of Local Governance and Disaster Management accompanying His Excellency presented the Disaster Risk Management of the country and what specific LGs can do to mitigate disaster. Also, the orientation and presentation on the Community Contracting Protocol was made to the participants of the Mid-term Review Meeting.

Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan (RICB), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MoAL), and Bhutan Insurance Limited (BIL) as Co-Insurer, conducted a comprehensive advocacy and consultation program on the National Crop and Livestock Insurance Scheme. The program was attended by officials from Dzongkhag Administration, local government members, and farmers' representatives.
This program brought national experts directly to our community to ensure our farmers are protected against the unpredictable. This advocacy saw a vital step forward in agricultural security.

To mark International Women’s Day in our own meaningful way, the Dzongkhag Administration, in collaboration with the Regional Heads and the Choe Tse Rabdhay, came together to celebrate our women and join the global movement in honoring their strength, resilience, and contributions of our women.

Together, we reaffirm our commitment to building a more just, inclusive, and empowered future for every woman and girl.

𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 | 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐦𝐨

The Melam Chenmo concluded with the sacred Sangye Menla Wang (Medicine Buddha empowerment), adding deep spiritual significance to the gathering. The Medicine Buddha is revered for representing healing and the relief of suffering, offering blessings for physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

During the empowerment, participants received teachings on the Medicine Buddha’s mantra and visualization practices. These teachings help practitioners cultivate healing energy within themselves and extend compassion and well-being to others. The ceremony concluded the event with prayers for health, peace, and the benefit of all beings.
