Anti-Bullying Week at Peljorling HSS (3rd–7th November 2025)
Theme: “Together Against Bullying”

Peljorling HSS successfully observed Anti-Bullying Week to promote kindness, respect, and a safe learning environment for all. The week began with Morning Prayer, national anthem, and an inspiring message on the meaning, forms, and impact of bullying. Students also presented a special performance spreading the message to stand united against bullying.

To promote kindness and positive behavior, a Three-Day Anti-Bullying Challenge was introduced for all staff and students:
1. 5th November 2025: “Smiles are contagious!” — Smile at 5 people
2. 6th November 2025: “Nice words are free.” — Compliment 5 people
3. 7th November 2025: “Kindness is a choice.” — Perform 5 kind acts

Students and staff also participated in a Secret Friend Activity, spreading kindness and support throughout the week. The program concluded with a school-wide pledge and banner signing, reaffirming our commitment to a bully-free school.

Celebration of the 35th Birth Anniversary of Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen

To celebrate the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen’s birth anniversary, the Peljorling Nursery; an inspiring initiative supported by UNESCO ASPnet and Y-VIA was formally inaugurated. Dedicated to the themes of environmental stewardship and sustainable development, the launch marked a significant step in the school’s ongoing commitment to environmental consciousness. The ceremony was attended by the Principal, Vice Principal, staff, and students, who collectively pledged to nurture and protect the natural world. The nursery is envisioned as a long-term endeavor to raise saplings that will be planted in the years ahead, fostering a strong culture of ecological responsibility and sustainability within the school community.

In continuation of the celebration, a tree plantation drive was carried out within the school campus. Led by the school's leadership and supported by the enthusiastic participation of staff and students, the initiative symbolized the school’s dedication to environmental sustainability and fostering a culture of care for the natural world.

The day’s activities not only paid tribute to Her Majesty but also reflected the values she embodies; compassion, sustainability, and community service.

Celebration of June 2 at Peljorling Higher Secondary School

On June 2, 2025, Peljorling Higher Secondary School proudly celebrated two significant national events: the Coronation Day of "His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo" and "Social Forestry Day".

These events hold deep historical and environmental importance for the nation and serve as a reminder of our responsibility to uphold our rich cultural heritage while fostering environmental stewardship. In commemoration of the day, the school’s UNESCO ASPnet and Y-VIA clubs launched the “Eco-Action Week: Growing a Greener Tomorrow”, a week-long initiative that also aligns with the Birth Anniversary of Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen on June 4th and World Environment Day on June 5th. This initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, sustainability, and youth participation in nation-building.

As part of the celebrations, members of Y-VIA and UNESCO ASPnet came together to plant trees across the school campus. The tree plantation drive not only enhanced the greenery of the school grounds but also symbolized the students' commitment to protecting the environment and contributing to a sustainable future.

The day was filled with a sense of purpose and unity, as students and staff reflected on the legacies of Bhutan’s visionary monarchs and reaffirmed their dedication to the values of environmental conservation and civic responsibility.
