Lobatse, 22 June 2026โ The momentum is building
As we count down to World Drug Day Commemoration on 26 June 2026, Drug Enforcement Agency visited primary schools in Lobatse today with one mission;equip scholars with knowledge before drugs derailed them with lies.
These primary schools were:
1. Peleng West Primary School
2. Maitlami Primary School
3. St Theresa Primary School
4. Pitikwe Primary School
5. Hill Primary School
The message was simple and powerful: Know the facts and Make smart choices.
Learners engaged in open conversations about peer pressure, how drugs affect the brain/body, and what to do if someone offered them illicit drugs. Todayโs school visits were part of a bigger build-up to World Drug Day commemoration. Each day this week, we are ramping up stakeholder engagement in Lobatse; more schools, more communities, more conversations. The countdown is on, and the energy is growing.
World Drug Day isnโt just a date. Itโs a reminder that every individual is reached, every question answered, and every โnoโ practiced is a win for our community. Illicit drug use destroys potential and awareness builds protection.
4 days to go.Letโs keep building the momentum.
