OMBUDSMAN ENGAGES D'KAR RESIDENTS (19.06.2026)

The Ombudsman, Advocate Stephen Tiroyakgosi, is engaging D'kar residents on the mandate of the Office of the Ombudsman. The engagement aims to raise awareness about the Office's role in addressing maladministration, protecting human rights, and promoting good governance.

Teachers of Rethuseng CJSS paying close attention during an engagement session led by the Ombudsman, Advocate Stephen Tiroyakgosi, this afternoon in Charleshill. The engagement was aimed at enlightening students, teachers, and the wider school community about the mandate and services of the Office of the Ombudsman.

The Ombudsman of Botswana, Advocate Stephen Tiroyakgosi and his delegation are currently conducting a meeting in Chobokwane village to engage the community on the mandate of the Ombudsman.

Advocate Stephen Tiroyakgosi and his team will further extend their engaments by conducting public education later today at Rethuseng Junior Secondary School in Charleshill and 2 Kgotla meetings tommorow at D'Kar and Kuke.

We commemorate the day of the African -child in honour of the brave students of Soweto who in 1976, stood against an education system designed to oppress and limit their potential.

Their struggle was not only for access to education but also for Dignity, Equality and Freedom.

We promote and protect children's right.
