In an effort to support, develop and promote creative and cultural industries, National Arts Council of Botswana reaffirms its commitment to the advancement of the industry through the annual National Arts Festival. The Council is therefore pleased to announce that planning is underway for the 2025 National Arts Festival edition.

With recent structural reforms, we have embarked on a new chapter focused on strengthening the arts and culture sector from the ground up. The National Arts Festival 2025 promises to be bigger, better, and more inclusive. We recognize the valuable contributions and anticipation around the festival, mostly from stakeholders and the artists who have already started preparing. Official communication outlining the timelines, and participation processes for the reimagined NAF will be released soon.

We thank the creative community for their continued patience, support and partnership. The road to the 2025 National Arts Festival has begun and together, we are building a stronger future for the arts in Botswana.

NACB informs the creative industry and the public that the open call for applications for the Arts and Culture Grant for the financial year 2024-25 will commence on the 29th November 2024.

The threshold for funding is P300,000.00 for arts and culture projects.

For the year, 2024/2025 the Grant Call is only open to applications in the following categories:

𝟏. 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞
𝟐. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐲
𝟑. 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬: 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲, 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐒𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲

The projects applied for should be implemented between the

No applications will be accepted after the stipulated deadline date and time. Applications that do not comply with the requirements will not be considered and immediately
disqualified/rejected.

Application forms can be collected from and submitted at the National Arts Council Headquarters in Gaborone, Fairscape Precinct, Fairgrounds, or at the Ministry of Sport and Arts (MOSA) District offices across the country.
