Shato guineafowls was established after acquiring funding from the Department of Youth Sport and Culture Botswana, through the youth development programme.

Shato Guineafowls was established on August 2012, after noticing the opportunity in the guineafowl market. Kasane is a tourist destination and thus, tourists from all over the world come to explore the delicacies of Africa.
