Bomme ba Mokwena Committee Lead by Mme Festina Bakwena paid a courtesy visit to Kweneng District Council Chairman, Honourable Ontefetse Rankhibidu, to provide a progress update on the committee's efforts to address social challenges affecting children and youth in Molepolole.
Speaking during the meeting, Ms Bakwena highlighted that the committee has identified eight schools within Molepolole where they intend to engage learners, educators, and communities on issues affecting children's wellbeing. Honourable Ontefetse Rankhibidu commended the committee for taking proactive steps to address social ills affecting young people. He said that this initiative aligns with one of his Five-Year Strategic Roadmap projects initiatives, "Lore le Ojwa le Sale Metsi," which focuses on moulding and disciplining children from an early age to become responsible citizens and future leaders.
Honourable Rankhibidu said that the future of our communities depends on the values and guidance we instil in our children today. Efforts such as these are vital in ensuring that young people are equipped to make positive life choices,"
