We wish to share an important update regarding this year’s Dithubaruba Heritage Walk, originally scheduled for Saturday, 30th August 2025.

After thoughtful consultations and in light of a community-led initiative under the Total Man banner, focused on raising awareness around the heartbreaking rise in gender-based violence and “passion killings” in Molepolole, we have made the heartfelt decision to cancel this year’s Heritage Walk.

Instead, we will stand in solidarity with the Molepolole community by joining a unified walk of remembrance and healing. This walk will take place on the same date and will culminate at the Molepolole Sports Complex, where a series of impactful activities will be held.

While the Heritage Walk has always been a cherished part of our cultural calendar, we believe that this moment calls for unity, compassion, and collective action. Our presence in this solidarity walk will reflect the values that Dithubaruba holds dear—community, empathy, and cultural relevance.

At the finishing point, the Dithubaruba Cultural Festival will host a branded stall where we will:

- Share information about our community programs and GBV-related initiatives.
- Engage with fellow participants, dignitaries, and supporters.

We warmly invite all our followers, supporters, and partners to walk with us. Your presence will help amplify the message of healing and hope and show that Dithubaruba stands firmly with the community in times of sorrow and strength.

Join us on the 30th of August 2025 as we traverse the ancestral land of the Bakwena in search of historical background that forms part of what Botswana is today. Come as a club, corporate team, or individual! Discover our beautiful country with others who enjoy walking! Walk, learn & Discover!

Date: Saturday 30th August 2025
Meeting time: 0530am. Start walking at 06.30am (SHARP).
Meeting Point: Ntsweng Heritage Site - "Ko Ga Mmakgosi"
Walking Distance: 15 km.
Walking Duration: 4-6 hours including excursion
Terrain: Hilly, flat and river bank.
Bring: Water bottle. Hiking boots, Sun hat, gaiters...
Walk Reg Fee: P100.00 Adults
P50.00 Children
(Children are catered to walk only 7km, the hole idea is for them to learn from this historical, adventures and educative tour)

There will be a stall selling food, drinks & sandwiches.
Activity: From the starting point you hike up Mmakgosi hill to the Summit to explore the Fortified stonewall / amary section for Sechele then we descend and through the small gate we exit then hike the Ramogawana to Legaga la ga Kobokwe then the LMS Church then the Missionaries cemetery yard then Lekadiba and from Lekadiba we hike up Phuting hill to Goo-Seletlo ward then we descend and go back to the site.
this is going to be a guided hike being led by Museum guides to share some history behind all the points we will be traversing.
