The NDACC – Ministry of Health & Wellness was honored this week to be a part of Bishop Martin High School’s Drug Awareness Week 2026 in the Orange Walk District.

Special thanks to the Ministry of Health & Wellness for continuing to support and ensure that Drug Awareness Weeks are held in high schools across the country.

We also extend sincere appreciation to our dedicated team at the NDACC Orange Walk Office for the excellent job done in making this initiative a success. Together, we continue to promote awareness, education, and healthy lifestyles for our young people.

The National Drug Abuse Control Council (NDACC) – Ministry of Health & Wellness was pleased to conduct another series of presentations today for officers of the Elections and Boundaries Department.

Today’s sessions included an in-person presentation held in Benque Viejo del Carmen by Ms. Trecia Belle of the NDACC Cayo Office. Additionally, a virtual session was facilitated by the NDACC Belize District Office for officers from San Pedro, Caye Caulker, and Punta Gorda, as well as officers from the district who were unable to attend the in-person presentations.

The sessions highlighted the important work of NDACC, including substance use prevention, counselling and treatment referral services, community outreach, and workplace wellness initiatives. Participants were also informed about the support services available to individuals, families, and communities across Belize.

Today’s engagement formed part of NDACC’s continued commitment to promoting awareness, prevention, and healthier lifestyles through collaboration with government departments and national stakeholders.

We once more thank the Elections and Boundaries Department for their collaboration and active participation as we continue working together to promote healthier, safer, and drug-free communities throughout the country.
