As part of our ongoing efforts to address Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), the Nutritionist Ms. Wendy Sanchez of Northern Regional Hospital recently engaged Community Health Workers (CHWs) in a hands-on meal preparation session focused on supporting persons living with diabetes and hypertension.
CHWs from different catchment areas were assigned disease-specific meals, allowing them to gain practical experience in planning and preparing healthy, nutritious options that can be shared with the communities they serve.
We remain grateful to our trainers and facilitators for their continued guidance in finding meaningful and practical ways to strengthen CHW knowledge and skills in NCD prevention and management.

World Environment Day 2026 🌿🌎
In observance of World Environment Day, our dedicated Community Health Workers (CHWs) of Belmopan partnered with students and staff of San Martin for a community clean-up and health education activity.
Together, they promoted the importance of keeping our environment clean and free of mosquito breeding sites to help prevent diseases such as dengue and malaria. Through education and action, participants learned how simple measures like proper waste disposal, covering water containers, and eliminating standing water can protect families and communities.
A cleaner environment means a healthier Belize. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time and effort to making a positive impact in our community. Western Regional Hospital
