🕘 From bills to breakthroughs — what a Monday!💼

We kicked things off at 10:15 AM with the Finance Committee diving into the Customs and Excise Duties and Insolvency & Bankruptcy Bills 💵📉
Next up: the Works Committee hammered away at the Belize Building (Amendment) Bill 🏗️🔨
Then history was made! 🕰️ The Health & Human Development Committee wrapped up the Families Bill after a marathon 7.5-hour session — the longest committee meeting ever at the National Assembly! 😮👏
💡 Reminder: Committee meetings are open to the public! Whether you show up or send in your views, your input can shape the future of Belize.✨

Committee meetings happening on Monday May 19 & Wednesday May 21—big bills on the agenda! 📋

Have feedback or recommendations for those bills? Submit a letter by Friday for meeting scheduled on Monday and submit by Monday for meetings scheduled on Wednesday!

Seven sharp economics students from Corozal Junior College (Official) visited the National Assembly today to dive into the real-world side of governance and policy🏛️

Two students even wrapped up the experience with a mini presentation on what they learned — talk about leadership in action! 👏💡
