The Ministry of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining proudly hosted a Women’s Wellness Day in celebration of Women’s Month. An initiative that was met with great enthusiasm and participation.
Throughout the day, staff had access to on-site wellness checks, including blood pressure, diabetes, and HIV testing. These services were especially appreciated, offering a convenient and important opportunity for health awareness right within the workplace.
A highlight of the day was an engaging and insightful wellness session delivered by Dr. Annel Martinez, whose presentation on women’s health and well-being was very well received.
Staff also enjoyed calming yoga sessions led by Florence Goldson, where our conference room was transformed into a serene space with soft music and candlelight, allowing participants a moment to pause and recharge.
The day concluded with a delightful luncheon under the tents, where colleagues came together to share a healthy meal, laughter, and light-hearted moments. Interactive activities and prize giveaways added to the celebratory atmosphere, making the experience both enjoyable and memorable.
The Ministry takes pride in creating spaces that support the well-being of its staff and was especially encouraged by the strong show of support from all team members, including the many men who participated by wearing purple in solidarity.
