H.E. Amalia Mai, CEO in the MFAFT and Mr. Tony Rojas, of AMEXCID Mexico as Permanent Chair of the Projecto Mesoamérica, with the participation of all member states, chairs the first meeting under Belize’s Presidency Pro-Tempore of the Mesoamerica Project. Under its PPT Belize will prioritize issues of national interest such as environment, health, energy interconnectivity and energy efficiency, disaster risk management, MSMEs and women empowerment.

Belize and Cuba yesterday concluded the IV Round of Bilateral Migration Talks in which both delegations reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and addressing the challenges of migration in a comprehensive manner. We look forward to continued dialogue.

Today, H.E., Amalia Mai, met with Lilia Bowman, DG of the Belize Red Cross alongside a visiting delegation from the IFRC Cluster Office to discuss areas of deeper cooperation in relation to strengthening legal, humanitarian support and the enhanced protection of persons in time of disasters at a national level.
