Meet Bowen, our next Kid Librarian! October is Canadian Library Month, and we are giving Bowen the chance to share his favourite books with you!

Bowen is an athletic, energetic, and focused kid. With a big family, plenty of activities, and hard work in school, Bowen has found the time to read 96 books so far this year! To say he has earned his “Masters in Book Recommendations” would be an understatement.

The best part? Each recommendation comes with a personal note on why you should give it a chance!

You can find Bowen’s recommendations in the Junior Area of the Library, available until next Thursday, when our next Kid Librarian steps in to take over.

Today we celebrate the people who bring the Library to life everyday!

We are thankful for our staff and the valuable contributions they bring to our community. Whether they are recommending a book, processing new videogames, or planning our next big event, our team is what makes the magic of libraries possible!

Tell us how a Library team member made a difference in your day!

Stories came to life thanks to Ginger Mullens at the Stories We Share event. It was an oral storytelling workshop for educators, librarians, and caregivers where confidence grew, imaginations soared, and literacy came to life!

This program was made possible through the John and Peggy Graham Early Literacy Fund.
