On October 24th, 2026, Starting at the Cumberland YMCA at 12:45 and walking down to Victoria Square where The Great Amherst Street Party 2026 is happening!!
THE GREAT AMHERST COSTUME PARADE!
Calling all Ghouls, Goblins, Ghosts, and Adorable Pets!
We are very excited to announce that we will kick off this year’s Great Amherst Street Party with our first costume parade.
The Great Amherst Costume Parade will begin in the parking lot of the YMCA at 12:45 p.m. and proceed down Church Street, ending at the cenotaph in Victoria Square at 1 p.m., starting the street party! Costumes are required.
This is a walking parade (with walking aids as required, of course). There will be no vehicles or floats. The parade is for all ages and pets are welcome. If your pet is in costume you don’t have to be. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
There will be prizes for Best Costume in the following categories:
12 and under
Teen (13-19)
Adult (20 and up)
Pet
