Today, the Government of Canada announced a $2 billion investment over eight years to support one million home retrofits across Canada, helping lower energy costs and reduce emissions.

The investment will:
⚡️ Launch a new National Heat Pump Rebate to help up to 820,000 households switch to more efficient electric heat pumps.

🏠 Support apartment building retrofits through CMHC and the Canada Infrastructure Bank, helping retrofit 280,000 units over the next eight years.

Together, these measures will help Canadians lower energy costs, improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions. 🇨🇦
