Congratulations to Tanya Eashappie! 🏠

Birdtail Sioux Dakota Nation is proud to congratulate our Housing and Public Works Director, Tanya Eashappie, on her recent graduation from the Certified First Nations Housing Professionals Program through the First Nations Housing Professionals Association (FNHPA)!

Tanya is now among 87 individuals across Canada who hold this certification, including 26 in Manitoba.

We uplift Tanya’s dedication to professional development and her continued commitment to our community!

We are pleased to announce that FREE virtual income tax filing services will also be available at the clinic.

In addition to the services outlined on the poster, we are also pleased to share that representatives from the Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) will be attending the upcoming clinic to provide information and assistance with the following programs: SCO Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) and SCO Pathways to Healing Program.

IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION UPDATE:
Transportation will only be available from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon).

Community members requiring transportation are asked to contact Ian Kasto directly at (204) 491-0500 to arrange a ride.

We encourage all community members to take advantage of the services and resources available!

We are pleased to announce an upcoming Service Canada, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), and Prairie Mountain Health Community Clinic for our community members.

The visit will take place on: Friday, October 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Prevention Building.

Representatives will be available to assist community members with a variety of government services, programs, benefits, health information, and account-related needs.

Please see the attached poster for additional information. We will also be sharing reminders as we get closer to the date.

We encourage community members to take advantage of having these services available right here in our community!

The issue has been reported to Bell MTS, and they are working to identify the issue and restore service as soon as possible.

INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY EVENT CANCELLED

Please be advised that the Indigenous Peoples Day event scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled out of respect for the Kasto family during this time of loss.
