Local Government Week is a great time to look back at the places that have been part of our community for generations.

Then and now, this building has brought people together. What was once a schoolhouse in Algonquin is now home to our library, continuing its role as a place to learn, connect, and share with our community.

That tradition continues with the new School House Sessions, offering opportunities to gather for programs such as Needles and Pins, book clubs, School House Jam Sessions, board game nights, homeschool sessions, and more.

A lot can change in nearly 200 years, but the importance of having a place for our community to come together remains the same.
