Council of the Municipal District of Willow Creek is committed to enhancing and maintaining infrastructure now and into the future. In order to maintain our transportation network, construction is inevitable. Please be advised that construction is scheduled to commence on June 4, 2025 on Range Road 241 south of Highway 3 to and within Moon River Estates. Construction is expected to continue until mid July. To avoid delays, the public is advised to avoid travel on this stretch of road during construction and use an alternate route if possible. Delays in travel are to be expected. If you observe construction in your travels, please use caution while driving through the construction zone. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to maintain our transportation network.

🌿 W**d Wednesday Spotlight! 🌿
This week’s invasive troublemaker is Hoary Cress—a persistent perennial that knows how to make itself at home. Check out the graphic to learn how this hardy species spreads and what you can do to keep it under control 💪
**dWednesday

Hoary Cress thrives thanks to its ability to reproduce both by seed and through an extensive creeping rhizome network. Its deep taproot helps it tap into moisture far below the soil surface, making it especially resilient in tough conditions.

Moon River Evacuation Drill – Thank You!

On May 20th, the Moon River Estates community came together for its annual evacuation drill, with 16 households participating.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took part - your involvement plays a vital role in strengthening the community’s preparedness and resilience. A special thank you to the Moon River ERC members, whose ongoing dedication keeps safety and readiness a top priority year after year.

As a reminder to all residents, the north muster point serves as the designated gathering area for evacuated residents. From there, individuals will receive important information about the location of the Registration Center.

In advance of the drill, ERC members met with Willow Creek Emergency Services staff to deploy and operate the sprinkler kit, providing effective structural protection for critical infrastructure.
