COUNCILLOR DAN McLEAN WILL LOSE (TWICE)

If Dan Mclean decides to abandon Ward 13 to run in the By-Election in Calgary Shaw and wins the nomination he will lose the seat to the NDP.

The NDP already is attacking Dan and saying that he is no different from the Floor Crossers at the federal level. They are calling Dan an opportunist.

The NDP do have a point in that Dan never campaigned to abandon his constituents mid term and they are also correct that it will cost upwards of a million dollars for a new By-Election in Ward 13.

The second time Dan will lose is because he is the glue that holds Ward 13 together and with the ongoing conflict between A Better Calgary Party and Communities First, the left wing Calgary Party will take Ward 13. Dan will cause all of Calgary to lose!

With the election of solid conservatives such as Rob Ward (Ward 11), Mike Jamieson (Ward 12), Landon Johnston (Ward 14) and Dan McLean himself in Ward 13 we have a solid conservative foundation to build from at City Hall and next election we can elect a majority conservative council. Councillor Dan McLean is the elder statesman at city hall and has the experience to mentor these new Councillors.

We cant afford to lose another seat in Calgary to the NDP and we can't afford to lose another seat at City Hall.
