Glamorgan Community Kindergarten was a publicly-funded, privately run kindergarten located in the heart of Glamorgan. It permanently closed in June 2025.
We offer a 5 days a week program for the 10 month school year (September – June) which is over the 475 hours required by Alberta Education:
Morning Class: 8:45-11:30 am M-F
Afternoon Class: 12:15-3:41 pm M-Th
Here are some benefits of our program:
- Small class sizes: maximum of 18 per class; usually smaller.
- New children’s visit: Your child will be invited to visit for 1 h

We are so grateful for the support the Prints Charming team has shown us over the years, and were so touched when we found out that they had framed every child’s showcased art piece as a special gift for our last class.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that 2024-2025 will be GCK’s last operational year, and our doors will close after the last day of school in June. Despite our increased marketing and advertising efforts, we have not been able to reach an enrolment level that can sustain future operations.
We want to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication to the program. For over 65 years, Glamorgan Community Kindergarten has been a place where children have come to learn, grow, and thrive, and where families have created lasting memories. We are incredibly proud of the strong, vibrant community we have built, and the positive impact we have had in the lives of so many.

Our friends at Teacher’s Pet Educational Services had an amazing time during the Ready, Set, Move! in-class activity on March 3rd — and wow, did the kids have a blast!
From jumping and stretching to dancing and balancing, they explored all kinds of fun ways to get moving. Smiles, giggles, and high-fives were everywhere!

Our wonderful independent Kindergarten still has spots open for the upcoming school year (2025-2026). If you are looking for a small class with tons of field trips, personalized learning, and a community feel we may be a good option for you. We are also in the process of developing a potential partnership with a local before and after care agency.
