Today marks the start of National Accessibility Week (NAAW). This week celebrates the leadership, achievements, and contributions of people with disabilities across Canada.
This year's theme is "Building a Strong, Accessible Canada."
It invites all of us to take action to advance a barrier-free country. Significant progress has been made to eliminate and prevent barriers, and by continuing to work together, we can build a truly accessible, inclusive and equitable Canada.
Our country is stronger when persons with disabilities can participate fully in all aspects of society.
Together, we can empower each other and make a meaningful impact.

What an unforgettable day celebrating our incredible Community Disability Service Professionals at the Genesis Centre
We were honoured to be recognized by Office of the Mayor, City of Calgary – Your Local Government , our amazing colleagues, and — most importantly — the people we proudly support every single day. 💙
A huge thank you to the dedicated volunteers from Bow Valley College who shined a way to the festivities and the hard working doers who organized such an action-packed and meaningful event. Special shoutout to and brothers Cam and Jordan for bringing the energy and unforgettable music all day long! 🎶
We danced, we laughed, we shared great food, and yes… our feet are definitely feeling it today! 👣✨
Grateful for a community that celebrates inclusion, connection, and the amazing work of disability service professionals.
