In our recent animal unit, we incorporated some of our favorite animal-themed games to encourage interaction, build attention skills, and expand vocabulary. We also had lots of fun learning (and showing!) how animals move, advancing gross motor and imitation skills!

🛒🍎This was such a fun part of our food theme! The kiddos stepped into the roles of shopper and cashier, and by the end of the week, they were running it all on their own. Lists, money, checkout---they had it covered! We love this activity because it hits so many goals: play, social interaction, learning foods and food groups, following visual/written schedules, and counting money 💰

🖐️ staying still while hands were traced
🎨 coloring/adding details (and tolerating dusty chalk hands!)
🖌️ squeezing just the right amount of glue
🧩 and finally, placing each bone carefully in its place
