The Death of Service

Who needs Urbanspoon or Yelp? You've got The Death of Service! Improving service one miserable post at a time. :)

After years spent drinking and dining all around the world, it pained me to realize that my hometown just doesn't cut it when it comes to delivering proper service to paying customers. This is my small attempt to police those Calgary establishments that cannot or will not offer the proper measure of service to their patrons.

FLASHBACK

Happening: Dinner at Dakota Bar and Grill c. 2001

Experience: HORRID

I noted that the Dakota Bar and Grill has a municipal permit for demolition. It's about time. The one and only time I dined there it was literally a gut wrenching experience.

Suggestion: Dead and buried will be a fitting end to this establishment.

FLASHBACK

Happening: Drinks and dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House (Edmonton) on 7 January 2012

Experience: WONDERFUL

I was in town for business and tried the Edmonton cousin. While sat at the bar alone I entertained and was entertained by the 2 female bartenders all night long. The food was, as expected, very good. The booze was, as expected, very good. What made the experience memorable was the great service provided by the 2 bartenders!

Suggestion: You must stop in at this establishment if you find yourself in Edmonton, for it will lessen the blow of being in Edmonton. :)
