💜 Children Are Affected Too 💜

When intimate partner violence happens within a family, children can be affected too.
Children may experience changes in their home, relationships, routines, and sense of safety. Every child responds differently, and they may not always have the words to explain how they are feeling.

Creating safe, supportive environments can make an important difference.

💜 Listen to children.
💜 Let them know they are cared for.
💜 Remind them that violence is never their fault.
💜 Help connect families with support when it is needed.

This October, let’s remember that creating safer communities means creating safer environments for children and families too.

Every child deserves to grow up surrounded by safety, care, and respect. 💜

Help Ann Davis Transition Society’s outreach team provide clothing and personal care essentials to people in our community.

We’re currently in need of:
• Men’s pants — medium and larger
• New women’s underwear — particularly bikini, cheeky and thong styles, in all sizes
• Women’s and men’s long-sleeved shirts
• Deodorant and body wipes
• Shampoo, conditioner, hairbrushes and hair elastics
• Rain jackets and warm outerwear

Please ensure clothing is clean and in good condition, underwear is new and unworn, and personal care products are unopened.

Every donation helps someone feel more comfortable and cared for. Thank you for your support! ❤️

If you are experiencing intimate partner violence, please know that what is happening is not your fault.

You deserve to feel safe. You deserve to be treated with respect. You deserve support.

Asking for help can be difficult, and there is no right or wrong time to reach out. You can take things one step at a time, at a pace that feels safe for you.

There are people who will listen, believe you, and support you.

❄️ Help Keep Women and Children Warm This Season ❄️

Join us at the Chilliwack Chiefs game on November 13th and help support local women and children experiencing hardship.

We’ll be collecting:
💜 Gently used pajamas for women and children
💜 New, unused underwear
💜 Unused toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, and other personal care items

Stop by the Ann Davis information table during the game to drop off your donation. Every item helps provide comfort, dignity, and practical support to families in our community.

We’re heading to the rink for a Chilliwack Chiefs game, and we’d love for you to join us!

Enjoy the game, a free meal, and some great company. It’s a fun chance to get out, connect with other men, and enjoy a night at the rink. 💙
