The Township of Douro-Dummer will host the Warsaw Santa Claus Parade & Tree Lighting in Warsaw! 🎅🎄

🗓️ Date: Saturday, November 28, 2026
🕰️ Time: 5:00 p.m.
📍 Location: Warsaw, ON

🎄 Following the parade, join us at Millennium Park (894 South Street) to meet Santa and enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, Christmas music, the tree lighting ceremony, and Gingerbread House Draws!

🍪EDIT: Gingerbread House Fundraiser
- Purchase tickets (cash only) for a chance to win a Gingerbread House: $2 per ticket or 3 tickets for $5
- Proceeds will support breakfast programs at St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School and Warsaw Public School.

🚧Please be advised that Gilchrist Bay Road will be closed to through traffic between Little Lane and Sixth Line Road North Dummer for road maintenance and culvert repairs.

Closure Times:
- November 3 to 5, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (daily)
- November 6, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and exercise caution near the work area.

Following every Municipal Election, Council appoints citizen volunteers to serve on the Library Board. Members of the Douro-Dummer Public Library Board help shape the future of their local public library by contributing to its mission, vision, priorities, and policies.

42% of eligible voters in the Township of Douro-Dummer cast a ballot in the election, a 6% increase over the 2022 election. Thank you to everyone who who participated in this year’s election!

Here is what's coming up in November at DDPL! We have a new art show launching in the Art Gallery, with the artist talk and reception on November 7th. Our second round of Beginner Improv Classes on Tuesday evenings is in full swing - drop in and join the fun any week. A Christmas card art workshop, Friends of the Library Speaker Series, our eight Death Cafe...and the usual weekly programs for all interests and ages. See you at the library!
