On June 4 Kazakhstan celebrates the Day of State Symbols, dedicated to the National Flag, Emblem, and Anthem, which embody our country’s independence, sovereignty, unity, and national identity.

For 34 years, these symbols have reflected the spirit, values, and aspirations of the Kazakh people. They remind us of our rich heritage, strengthen our sense of belonging, and inspire us to contribute to the nation’s continued progress.

📍 An international symposium on the legacy of the Golden Horde was held in Astana.

More than 350 scholars and historians from Kazakhstan and abroad took part in the event 🌍📚

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of studying the Golden Horde objectively as part of humanity’s shared heritage.

🤝 Kazakhstan continues to promote the heritage of the Great Steppe through research, education, and international cooperation.

🏛️ On 19 May in Astana, President of 🇰🇿 Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the opening ceremony of the International Symposium “The Golden Horde as a Model of Steppe Civilization: History, Archaeology, Culture, and Identity”.

🌍 Held under the auspices of UNESCO, the symposium brought together leading scholars and experts from more than 20 countries, including 🇨🇦 to explore the legacy of the Ulus of Jochi and its impact on the development of Eurasian civilization.

💬 “As heirs of the Great Steppe, we must preserve and promote our unique historical heritage,” President Tokayev noted, emphasizing the importance of the Golden Horde in shaping statehood, culture, and identity across Eurasia.

🤝 The forum highlights Kazakhstan’s growing role as a leading international center for the study of the Golden Horde and the rich heritage of the Great Steppe.
