Belmead School

We hope to see all our Belmead School families on Monday, August 25th for our Back to Belmead event!

Grade 1 students have been enjoying learning about graphing. First they learned how to create "people graphs" on our classroom carpet to answer survey questions. Then students learned how to show data on a graph using concrete objects, such as snap cubes or collections of counters. Students learned how to read their graphs, answering the question "How many more...than..."

The Grade 5's took on a really fun project of decorating garbage cans! This can and the Grade 6 can will be around Edmonton, try and find them! 🗑️🎨 Thank you to our amazing artists, it turned out beautiful!!

MINI-LEGENDS - this program was so fun, the kids loved getting to play games and have a track and field day! Thanks for coming Mini-Legends! 🏃🏃

National Indigenous Day celebration yesterday at Aldergrove school!

Grade 1 had a busy day of learning at the Telus World of Science! Students enjoyed visiting various galleries, seeing an IMAX film, exploring CuriousCity and touring the feature Dinosaur exhibit.

Fun day was fun!!

Grade 1 students travelled to Prairie Gardens in Bon Accord to learn about plants and animals. They enjoyed planting flowers, tasting fresh herbs, exploring the greenhouse, petting the goats, feeding the bunnies, watching a puppet show and touring the farm on a train.

The Grade 4's and 5's went to the Telus world of science last week and it was so fun!! They got to explore dinosaurs and the Chemistry lab🧪⚗️🧑‍🔬

In Language Arts, Room 16 is working on sequential writing,. They wrote out the steps of how to make Iced tea and then got to make it! Such a fun activity!

Grade 1 students enjoyed participating in a variety of stations during our Mini Legends Games Day. There were lots of smiles as they practiced running, jumping and throwing to develop their Track and Field skills.

Room 7 had an amazing time participating in our Mini-Legends whole school event!
