UPDATE!!! Hey hey loyal supporters!! It’s been exactly ONE YEAR since the City demolished the Graphic Arts Building and thanks to your generous donations (25% of the goal was reached!) we have been watching the model come to life!

Now I’m embarking on another fundraising push to get the pedestal built so that we can start talking about the move of the model to it’s GREAT NEW HOME (stay tuned!)

Gone But Not Forgotten. Do y'all remember what used to be here? Day 1 now of a completely vacant lot. Let's start the wagering on how long until the block is built up again! :-)

This is Dylan Reade, a most interesting IMAX cinematographer! He's hot on the trail of some amazing historical stories right here in Edmonton. I can't wait for those stories to come to life on the big screen. We missed capturing the demolition of the Graphic Arts Building, sadly.

This is what it looked like the day the streamlined Art Nouveau detail was added, and before someone thought "fins! the building needs fins!" Go have a look, the old signpost is so prominent now!

I'm so excited to meet with the artist who put the mural on the Graphic Arts Building many years ago! It's Seve Estevez at his "Doing Tattoo" shop for the summer from Barcelona. (holding some of stickers!)
