Winter weather has arrived! Please make sure your children of all ages are dressed appropriately for the outdoors as students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 will continue to go outside for recess, including lunch recess, physical education and other activities (e.g. neighbourhood walks) unless there is heavy rain or the temperature is below -23°C with the wind chill.
Please also review pick up and drop off procedures with your children. Students will not be permitted to wait inside the building before or after school unless it is very cold outdoors or the busses are running late.
We are not able to provide childcare at the end of the day, so please make sure your children are picked up on time. In emergency situations where you may be unavoidably late (e.g. severe weather, traffic), please contact the office at 780-478-2927.

The Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services is proud to present the 2021 AB GSA Conference, running online from November 22-26. Hello Parents/Guardians of McLeod Elementary

Our next PAC meeting is Nov 16 and we will be deciding on a fundraiser for Christmas as well as surprise for students. Please help us get our minimum of 8 meeting participants to ensure we can go ahead with spending the money you have helped raise. Getting quorum is not as easy as you may think, so please consider joining the virtual meeting using the link provided on school-zone.

After being put off, we will be required to participate in a Casino Night on January 19 & 20. Please consider volunteering for one of nearly 40 spots. Schedule of times will be available in December, but if you know now that you would like to volunteer feel free to let me know via [email protected] and we can get a list of parents/guardians gathered.

If you are unable to make the meeting on Nov 16, but have suggestions for a fundraiser then please email your thoughts to [email protected]. If not used for Christmas, your suggestion may be our next fundraiser.
