Home Inspection Demo 2025 09/18/2025

AlbertaACHI's Home Inspection Demo 2025
This event is open to all AlbertaACHI & InterNACHI members.

We welcome all experienced inspectors as well as new inspectors as we review the methodology of a home inspection. We will conduct a physical examination of a home and discuss proper ways to document our findings in a written report following the Internachi Standards of Practice. There will be open discussion throughout.

This event is free of charge for AlbertaACHI members.

Fee for Internachi members is $100.00 and the fee for all non members is $150.00.

Payment can be made via email transfer to [email protected]. Please include your name and company for reference.

We welcome all experienced inspectors as well as new inspectors to AlbertaACHI's 2025 AGM, great way to keep your continuing education credits up to date

We will be having presenters on topics such as

1. Concrete/Cement and the process of what to look for whether it be driveway/sidewalks or foundation problems to watch out for. Don't miss this educational presentation to keep you up on what to look for.

2. Septic systems and how to inspect them correct and things to watch out for

Todd Jenkins is the Edmonton-based Vice President for AlbertaACHI, a role that underscores his commitment to advancing the home inspection industry in Alberta. As a Certified Master Inspector and a member of InterNACHI, Todd brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his position.

With over 25 years of experience across a variety of industries, including construction, infrastructure, and oil and gas, Todd's background is both extensive and diverse. This rich professional history has equipped him with a unique perspective and a broad skill set that he now applies to home inspections.

Todd is passionate about elevating the home inspection industry through proper education and association credibility. His dedication to these principles is what drives him to help lead AlbertaACHI into the future, ensuring that the industry continues to grow and maintain high standards.

On a personal level, Todd places immense value on family. He shares his life with his partner Nichole and their children, Charlie and Brody. Their family is complete with the addition of their beloved pets, Koda and Copper.

Dan is our Calgary base Vice-President and an Alberta licensed home inspector who is certified in thermography, bonded, insured and a member of InterNACHI.

Dan has been involved in the construction industry for more than 40 years swinging a hammer on his first framing crew when he was 16.

He spent 25 years serving the citizens of City of Calgary and surrounding area with the Calgary Fire Department where his duties included hundreds of fire and safety related inspections of structures and commercial buildings throughout his career.

After retiring from the fire department, home inspecting was a perfect transition. His training has included studies at the renowned InterNACHI headquarters in Boulder, Colorado. Dan is married with 2 daughters, enjoys all season outdoor activities, and traveling with his family.

Geoff Latham is a seasoned home and building inspector with over 20 years of experience in the inspection industry. Geoff is the current President of AlbertaACHI. As the owner and lead inspector of R.E.I. & Co Home Inspections in St. Albert, Alberta, Geoff has conducted more than 7,500 inspections of both residential and commercial buildings, earning a reputation for his thoroughness, expertise, and professionalism.
Geoff’s educational background is extensive. He has completed the Carson Dunlop Home Inspection Training Program, widely recognized for its comprehensive curriculum, and successfully finished the Safety Codes Part 9 Courses: Terms 1 and 2, equipping him with advanced knowledge in building standards compliance and safety standards.
As a committed professional, Geoff has been actively involved in key industry organizations, including CAHPI (Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors) and AlbertaACHI (Alberta Association of Certified Home Inspectors). Over the years, he has held multiple leadership roles in AlbertaACHI, including Vice-President and Education Director.
In addition to his leadership roles, Geoff is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of home inspectors. He serves as a peer review proctor, evaluating and guiding new inspectors entering the industry, ensuring they meet high professional standards. He also teaches home inspection demonstrations hosted by AlbertaACHI, sharing his expertise and practical insights with aspiring inspectors.
With a career built on integrity, technical knowledge, and a passion for excellence, Geoff remains a trusted authority in the home inspection field. When he isn’t inspecting buildings, he contributes to advancing the industry through education and mentorship while continuing to serve his local community in St. Albert, Alberta.
