Utility scams are increasingly common.
To protect yourself remember to:
📅 Take your time – Scammers will often pressure victims to act immediately. You never have to act right away. Verify details independently and contact your utility company directly.
💡 Be careful before clicking links – Links can collect your personal information or deploy malware on your devices.
💰 Never share personal or financial information – Legitimate utility companies will never demand immediate payment. They will provide a clear due date.
And remember, if something seems too good to be true, it likely is.

As summer approaches, make sure your ceiling fans spin counterclockwise.
This creates a downdraft that helps cool rooms more effectively.
